The Company

With their headquarters in London and offices worldwide my client is a leading digital technology solutions organisation providing services to both the private and public sector. With over 20,000 employees and a solid reputation they are a great company to be a part of and looking for an Account Manager to join their Manchester office. (home-based and office based).

The role of the Account Manager is to:

Work with the Sales Lead, Delivery and any specific Pre-Sales resources to ensure that key clients and projects are account managed in life and as part of the sales cycle
You have a core objective to protect existing Annual Support and Maintenance revenue as well as generating new business from
these accounts
Support the research and development a wide range of new contacts
Support through efficient sales processes and operations from use of data on our CRM system to supporting through contract and bid support
Support and proactively account plan and develop a roadmap of future opportunities working closely with the Sales lead
Help identify opportunities through research, client meetings or understanding
Understand industry trends that support the planning and future growth of key accounts
Challenge the sales lead in ensuring the account plan and client objectives are being met
Be responsible for a range of accounts, accountable for actions, with an opportunity to grow and extend the accounts and team over time
Responsibilities:
With the solutions Sales lead, support a range of named existing accounts and support actions required from new business generated
Utilise personal & industry contacts (as well as tools such as Linked-In Sales Navigator) to raise the company profile and generate interest in our solutions, securing meetings, presentations, subsequent proposals with the sales lead
Working with Marketing to tailor or create additional product proposition and sales collateral as appropriate including a communications dialogue to ensure our clients are aware of the company's services
As part of the high professional standard of governance you are expected to:
Undertake a 24-hour follow-up on all meetings to ensure we “play back” the agreed actions and that actions are documented
Document all meetings detailing major points of discussion and actions points, in a written up contact report (internal) that is accessible by the supporting teams
Ensure internal process is designed and implemented (e.g. brief to delivery)
Update the internal teams (sales, technical) of the proposition development and results of new business wins or joint partnerships
Regular account management meetings
Discussion of resource requirements required to support the go-to-market strategy
Interface with the technical, planning and insight teams to ensure accurate handover of delivery and also handover of the overall delivery process as required as any new products or partnerships become established
Support key RFP’s, bids and contracts to support the sales operations process and efficient close of contracts
The Candidate

Profile:

Account support experience in a team target driven environment
Professional approach to developing and building relationships across agencies and partners
Some domain knowledge in the public sector, retail or data is desirable but not essential
Some understanding of a sales cycle
Ability to network across multiple brands (& sectors)
Confident in defining solutions and mapping them to business goals Salary and benefits will be dependent on the individual candidate and level of expertise and experience
