Cloud Network Engineer

We're currently looking to hire an experienced Network and Application engineer.

This is a production engineering and support role, supporting all aspects of the companies Development, Testing, Pre-production and Production environments (that in turn support millions of end-users and hundreds of internal and external customers) with an equal focus on Cloud Networking and Application Admin. It's a great opportunity to work with an experienced multidisciplinary team in a technically varied role, offering a mix of maintenance and support of existing production systems, hands on involvement in several cloud migration projects and in new application deployments to cloud.

A day in the role:

Here's just some of what you will be doing Day to day operation, Management and monitoring of our public cloud deployments Involvement in project work. For example:

  • Assist with our private to public cloud migrations.
  • Working with public-private clouds integrations (AWS)(OCI)
  • Working with the security team on various initiatives.
  • Supporting our software engineering teams and developing infrastructure solutions to meet their requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience implementing and managing highly available, online infrastructure services in an enterprise environment (Ideally SaaS).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AWS Networking (VPC Sharing, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, BGP routing etc).
  • Experience in AWS and cloud technologies.
  • Web/SaaS hosting background or experience
  • Experience with Orchestration Terraform or Ansible
  • Experience with Splunk admin and usage
  • Some experience of Linux systems (RHEL).
  • Some experience with Splunk Logging from an operations and end user perspective
  • Some experience with version control GIT as a user and admin.
  • Some experience with Puppet config management. Some experience with Jenkins automation
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem resolution skills.

Highly Desirable

  • AWS Certification Architect or Operations Track
  • Oracle Cloud Experience
  • Experience in working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar) Expert in BGP routing
  • Experience migrating from hosted traditional stack to a cloud-based stack.
  • Experience with Splunk admin and usage


In this role there will be a paid, on-call structure, rotating roughly every 8 weeks.

There may also be an occasional travel to facilitate project work, or the requirement for occasional Saturday work to support major releases for which there is an established TIL structure.

Hybrid work post covid restricitons:

In relation to remote work, The expectation is to work hybrid three days in office and 2 days from home but there may be further flexibility once the employee gets to know the business and we would expect flexibility from his side during critical project phases
