commutable from Birmingham or Glasgow offices!

An exciting opportunity to join a leading and well known manufacturing business in South
Birmingham as a Service System Developer. Paying an attractive salary of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, this opportunity gives the Service System Developer the platform to develop, manage and maintain the business service systems. You will be focusing on finding efficiency savings through streamlining processes and integrating with customers and suppliers.

Reporting to the Head of MIS your duties will be as follows –

To manage the delivery of service systems that fall within the departments remit.
Supports multiple software and hardware systems throughout the organization
Installs, documents, and tests software and hardware upgrades
Utilises new technologies such as MS Azure, Power BI, API integrations to maximise the efficiency of core business systems.
Streamline data flows between our systems and our suppliers and customers
Offers coaching and training to colleagues as appropriate
Participates in planning and implementing appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the business
Contributes to product development, database administration, and application support to support all users
Contribute to information systems policies and documentation including backup strategies, user training materials, network maps, and security policies
Makes technology-related recommendations and decisions for hardware and software acquisition
Creates and maintains reports for the business using SSRS and SSMS. Working knowledge of SSIS and data warehouse.

The ideal candidate will actively seek to improve skill set to best deliver new technology and process improvements to the business.

You’ll be able to work independently and have an inquisitive mind to understand the business processes and challenges.

The role will be working Monday to Friday with flexible working from home options available. You can either work from the Birmingham office or Glasgow office when needed.
