HEPCO has an excellent contract opportunity to work at one of our elite clients in NYC.

Project Description:

Provide support to the Human Resources Department in transition as the first-line Human Resources contact in support of employees, managers, and consultants that supervise MTA C&D employees and interns.

Normal Work Week:

Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5:30 PM or 8 AM - 4:30 PM

New York, NY 10004

Qualification Requirements:

A minimum of two years in Human Resources Generalist role.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college, and a minimum of two years of recruitment experience; or

Associate degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college, and a minimum of four years of extensive recruitment experience in an area related to the duties described below; or

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Excellent verbal and communication skills.

Strong planning and organizational skills.

Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Excel and Word.

Special Skills/Training Requirements:

Proficient in PeopleSoft 9.2 System.

Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously.

Ability to respond to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Ability to communicate well and deal effectively with agency personnel.

Description of Work:

Handles and resolves all day-to-day recruitment and on-boarding issues. Acts as a power- user in the administration of PeopleSoft HRIS System. This includes developing and running routine and ad-hoc reports, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the product and inputting data as required. Completes employment position management related transactions in PeopleSoft as well as assists in the preparation of job descriptions.

Create jobs in PeopleSoft system.

Assist on the recruitment process.

Provide direct support to service internal clients by phone and email.

Pre-screen resumes for interviews.

Create and maintain various programs and database for departmental activities.

Provide various recruitment and employment reports from PeopleSoft as required.

Assist other employees in normal duties.
