- Market EDM/Cadis OR alternative Asset Management systems - Thinkfolio, Golden Source, Eagle PACE or inhouse systems

- Good communication skills in English (verbal and written);

- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze data issues in a structural manner;

- Positive, proactive and pragmatic with a "can do" mentality, with ability to prioritize activities;

- Identifies and initiates improvements on processes and tooling (automation) and collaborates in improving activities;

- Team player with organizational sensitivity;

- Knowledge or experience with systems such as MuleSoft, PowerCenter is DESIRABLE NOT ESSENTIAL

You are a highly motivated professional who likes to work in a dynamic environment with multiple, demanding stakeholders. You are a flexible team player with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities who is comfortable in working under tight deadlines. The candidate should thrive in an Agile team, where there will be a close cooperation with the client and other team members. Knowledge of market data and financial instruments is preferred.

Your role:

As part of our scrum team, you are responsible for realizing solutions to fulfil the data requirements of our stakeholders. You will do this by translating requirements into technical solutions in systems like MarkitEDM, Mulesoft and PowerCenter. Furthermore, as a data engineer, you are capable to act as an advisor to the client, architects, and your peers on the best possible (technical) solution. Beside the desire to deliver quality solutions, you are also involved in the entire release process. Hence you will be supporting in the testing, documenting and releasing of your changes.

Main activities of a Data Engineer

- Development in systems like Markit EDM, MuleSoft and PowerCenter

- Active participation in Scrum Ceremonies such as refinement, sprint planning and retrospective.

- Testing and peer review of the work of your colleagues

- Cooperation with the client to understand the requirements

- Overseeing production releases, including documentation

Enterprise Data Management

The Enterprise Data Management department is responsible for maintaining and delivering high quality investment related data throughout the client organization.

The data required by the client organization is rapidly growing. Internal stakeholders are continuously demanding more data to support their (investment) processes, where time to market and quality of the data is key. The Enterprise Data Management department consists of 3 teams: Data Operations (operational data handling and validation), Data Assurance (monitoring data quality and expand new data services) and Data Technology (IT development on data related systems and applications). These teams works closely together with a lot of stakeholders like Front Office, Client Services, Risk Management and IT functions.

To enhance our team and support the increasing demand for data we want to expand our team with a data engineer, who will be part of the Data Technology team.

Working conditions: remote working until Covid is cleared, once Covid is cleared 2- 3 days on site/remote working. Option to work 4 or 5 days week.
