Prolifics Testing is looking for a QA Lead, to provide a holistic approach to Quality Assurance for our client's flagship POS solution.

The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for creating and performing a wide scope of QA activities to ensure our product provides leading edge, feature rich user experience without compromising the quality and absolute stability. Primary QA focus sits in the manual testing sphere with an automated testing suite to support. Exploratory testing assures quality and consistency of UI/UX - the emphasis is always on a clear, simple yet bullet proof user interaction.

The Quality Assurance lead will work with peers and management team to develop the governance and KPI reporting through the entire life cycle, therefore a comprehensive knowledge of STLC along with an appreciation of SDLC is essential.

Main Responsibilities

  • Definition and documentation of Test Plans and Test Strategies for all releases
  • Creation and maintenance of appropriate Test Cases to support feature, peripheral, and core function testing
  • Continual reviews of test cases to ensure coverage aligns to incident density
  • Creation and maintenance of UAT test suite
  • Ensuring in all cases appropriate scope and coverage is met
  • Execution of Unit, Integration, functional and non-functional testing utilising necessary tools to achieve desired outcomes
  • Execution of tests in simulated environments to provide stress and load testing
  • Management of the regression test automation execution cycles
  • Maintenance of the automated regression package
  • Facilitating and planning User Acceptance Testing with both internal colleagues and client test sites
  • End to end defect management - working collaboratively with the development team
  • Working closely with the customer support team to ensure any repetitive issues are identified and reproduced
  • Assurance of Training material, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all materials and media are updated accordingly to support release cycle
  • Assurance of Acceptance into Service obtaining sign off from internal team
  • Development of dashboards for management information covering all stages of QA activity backed up with comprehensive, auditable data
  • Working closely with the Software Development Manager and Product owner to manage product feature list and priorities in the Product Backlog
  • Act as the Quality Gateway for the entire product before release

Essential Qualities

  • ISTQB (or equivalent) certification in testing at foundation level or above
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and appreciation of automation tools - eg Selenium
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of end-to-end STLC
  • Dominant traits of "can do" and of "customer first"

The following would be of added interest but are not essential:

  • Experience building Test Scenarios/Cases within Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Experience of Hospitality or Retail environments using Point of Sale systems
  • Working knowledge of dev tech - SQL, C#, Java, Angular
  • Working knowledge of automated test tools - Selenium WebDriver etc
