Leakage Logging Technician

Salary: £20,000 plus benefits (Pension Scheme, 25 days holiday, holiday buy-back scheme)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Waterbeach/Fulbourn Road, Cambridge

At South Staffs Water we deliver clean and reliable water supplies to around 1.5 million customers within the South Staffs and Cambridge regions.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Leakage Logging Technician, to carry out permanent acoustic logging deployment and analysis on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accessing water infrastructure fitments
• Removal & replacement of service covers
• Installing and maintaining data loggers on the water network
• Download / upload of data logging equipment
• Deployment of leakage monitoring equipment
• Map reading and fitting identification
• Co-ordination of weekly activities.
• Completion of job forms and time sheets or other required information.
• Ensure Safe Working Methods are applied

The successful candidate will have a full driving license, be educated preferably to GCSE grade C/Level/4 City and Guilds, (equivalent), or able to demonstrate technical skills. Acoustic logger and/or leakage knowledge would be an advantage, but not essential. It is essential that you enjoy working outdoors, have a flexible approach with the ability to work alone, be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
