Blueberry is a busy bookkeeping practice based at Grove Business Park near Wantage.

The Finance Assistant will provide bookkeeping services to a range of customers in a variety of businesses. The role is full time but we would also consider school hours. The successful candidate must be qualified, have a minimum three years experience, and have the right attitude to join a small, fun, and hard-working team.

We are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience in the bookkeeping processes as detailed below.

This is not a role for those seeking to progress to Accountancy Level.

Roles & Responsibilities

To support customers in keeping good financial records which may include:

  • Sales invoices
  • Purchase bills and receipts
  • Expense claim processing
  • Bank and Credit card processing and reconciling
  • Credit control
  • Payroll
  • CIS
  • Vat returns
  • Budgeting
  • Management reports

Qualifications & Skills

A strong experience in a financial role with bookkeeping experience and qualification (minimum of Level 3 AAT, ICB or IAB equivalent qualifications).

It is expected that the Finance Assistant will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Word and Excel. The following experience is preferred, however, training will be given if necessary:

  • Xero accounting software
  • Sage 50
  • Hubdoc

The successful candidate will:

This is an office based role, and due to the location, candidates must have their own transport
