Project Manager - Capital Investment Delivery

Salary: Dependent upon experience plus Company Car/Cash Back
Hours: 37.5 Hours Monday to Friday
Location: Green Lane, Walsall or Fulbourn Road, Cambridge

We aim to achieve this in the most affordable way, which requires the successful implementation of our Capital Investment Delivery Programmes. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, to join an established team to successfully deliver our engineering projects.

Working within the Capital Investment Delivery team, you will be responsible for successfully managing and delivering major capital investment projects from proposal through to completion within time, cost and quality whilst applying knowledge of NEC3 & 4 contracts. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Stakeholders in developing agreed scopes, to cover an identified investment need and manage and prioritise contracts
• Prepare and submit project estimates, monitor costs against budget baselines, adhere to financial regulations and forward information as required
• Review costs and support with the preparation and submission of contract payment certificates
• Review tender returns in accordance with internal procurement procedures
• Monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators and instigating corrective action where necessary to ensure continuous improvement is achieved
• Liaise with contractors, clients and stakeholders to project completion and handover
• Undertake benchmarking to judge the effectiveness of current contractual arrangements
• Identify project milestones and manage project changes as and when required
• Provide project management and engineering expertise, to support the unit and various departments across the business
• Implement Health and Safety regulatory requirements including undertaking monthly site audits
• Collate and review method statements and risk assessments, in conjunction with client and contractor and ensure adherence to them in project delivery

The successful candidate will have experience in the management and delivery of projects and knowledge and implementation of NEC 3 & 4 Contracts. Ideally you will hold a BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Process Engineering, possess excellent report writing skills and have knowledge of CDM Regulations. You will be competent across the Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project and have experience in financial control. As Health and Safety is a key business priority, it is essential to be able to demonstrate a commitment to high standards in health and safety management. Excellent communication skills are essential and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

A full valid driving licence is essential as the role will require travelling to different locations within our area of supply and across both regions.
