Position Responsibilities

The Coordinator, Retail Operations supports RILA's Retail Operations Department and the RILA member retail executives who participate on several of RILA's retail operations committees. This position will learn about, write about, schedule calls and coordinate meetings for many retail operations areas including asset protection, supply chain, digital retail (e-commerce), store operations, organized retail crime, etc. This position also interacts with corporate retail executives, government officials, and other experts in their field. Main responsibilities include administrative support and project management for in-person committee meetings, conference calls, webinars, and daily email notices and correspondence. This position directly supports the Senior EVP of Retail Operations and the VP of Supply Chain.

  • Provide key support and administrative assistance to the Retail Ops team in connection with their management of Retail Operations-related committees (mentioned above) and the hot button issues we monitor for our members
  • Regularly draft and send emails, updates, and other materials for audiences comprised of retail executives
  • Assist Retail Operations team in committee meeting coordination and logistics - both virtual and in-person events.
  • Maintain relevant data in database (Salesforce) including contacts, distribution lists, etc. and update and refresh content on member facing web pages as needed.
  • Some travel required (to our annual conferences - The Retail Asset Protection Conference and LINK: The Retail Supply Chain Conference. Travel may be required of position to attend and staff in-person committee meetings which could take place at member HQ and other locations around the US).
