Salary: £28,000 + per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday
Location: Green Lane, Walsall or Fulbourn Road, Cambridge

At South Staffs Water we deliver clean and reliable water supplies to around 1.5 million customers within the South Staffs and Cambridge regions. We are part of a Group - South Staffordshire Plc which is an integrated services group that operates the regulated water company (SSW), and provides a range of specialist services, predominantly in the UK water sector but also increasingly to other infrastructure owners.

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Graduate ESG Coordinator to join our South Staffs Water/Cambridge team on a permanent basis, also supporting the South Staffordshire Group which is a highly respected integrated services group of businesses.

ESG is an evaluation of how well an organisation complies with a range of social, environmental and governance factors. It is an increasingly important measure for investors, demonstrating both long-term sustainability and social value.

Reporting to the Strategy and Regulation Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating and collating relevant ESG data against set criteria; contributing to the development of ESG polices and the implementation of ESG initiatives across the Group businesses. This a varied role involving:

• Collating ESG data for internal and external reporting from various business departments
• Creating the reports for Directors and Board Meetings
• Ensuring procedures are in place to collect the required data throughout the year
• Working with the Communications team to manage ESG related content on website(s) and the Company intranet
• Supporting the development and delivery of ESG initiatives across the business
• Managing, interpreting, and reporting on highly fragmented, often voluminous data
• Identifying and appraising data sources across the business in terms of robustness and potential for use in the ESG reporting
• Analysing data sets to identify trends and to inform focus, decision making and Policy development
• Presenting outputs of the data sets to relevant stakeholders including Directors

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of ESG principles and concepts and ideally some experience of data and metrics collection. As well as Data visualisation skills, experience in diary management and minute taking is desirable.

Educated to Degree Level, with a positive can do attitude, flexible and adaptable approach, you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft office applications experience, and the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
