Senior Finance Analyst - CMA, ACA, ACCA Qualified

Brookwood is supporting a well-established financial client.

This role may move towards hybrid remote, but this is dependent on the climate. The client base is in London. The contract is 3 - 6 months initially.

The day rate is negotiable based on experience; it is Inside IR35.

Reporting to the Business Partner (Operations), this role will be of interest to a qualified accountant or individual with significant PQ experience in business partnering, budgeting, forecasting and management accounting.

The role sits within the Finance & Business Services division, responsible for looking after the finances and working environment, protecting the reputation, and enabling it to meet its objectives.


  • The role will work closely with senior Operations stakeholders to provide quality management information, commercial support, challenge and budget assurance.
  • More specifically the role involves:
  • The production and presentation of timely and insightful MI and analysis to senior leadership to succinctly provide explanations to support decision-making.
  • Providing support to the Division in the preparation of the business planning/budget/forecasting cycles.
  • Supporting the Division in managing professional fee budgets through regular engagement with key contacts and maintaining control of Divisional cost trackers.
  • Building relationships with key contacts on an on-going basis. Being a critical friend who is proactive in looking ahead to pre-empt problems and ensure the key contacts are receiving the support required, and attending to ad-hoc queries from the Division on a timely basis.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the wider Finance team to pursue a continuous improvement agenda, both with business processes and personal development.


  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or with significant PQE experience, or equivalent.
  • Finance Analyst experience supporting sub-divisions with ability to interact at Director level.
  • Required behavioural & technical skills:
  • Demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management.
  • Evidence of the gravitas and ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders to enable management of budgets and financial risks/opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to explain complex financial issues clearly and succinctly to finance and non-finance colleagues alike.
  • Evidence of teamwork and collaboration: the ability to work actively with others to achieve outcomes in both formal and informal teams in support of team and organisational goals.
  • A continuous improvement mentality to support development of self, colleagues, business processes and interactions.
  • Can demonstrate strong judgement and decision making, possessing the confidence and ability to use sound judgement in reaching conclusions.
  • Proven attention to detail: can demonstrate taking pride in work and ensuring it is of the highest standard.
  • Curious: displays an interest in things that are new, with the ability to identify patterns and themes.
  • Proactive: able to work on own initiative to identify and resolve issues but exercises correct judgement on when to escalate or involve senior finance colleagues.
  • Commerce and industry, professional services or financial services sector experience
  • Oracle Financials experience
  • Expert MS Office suite user
  • Workday/Adaptive/OfficeConnect experience
