About the role:

As a Customer Support Advisor, you’ll be the backbone of the team in our Cobham branch, delivering the best possible customer service to new and existing customers. This is a truly varied role where you’ll have the opportunity to focus on your own continuous improvement and get involved in reporting, administrative tasks and even marketing.

As Customer Support Advisor, the focus is on bringing your personality to the role, engaging with customers and providing the support they’re looking for, when they’re looking for it. We’re all about warm personalities, quality conversations and a customer-first attitude, so you’ll be expected to considerately analyse our existing client data base to cross-sell our General Insurance products and generate potential prospects for our life products.

As part of our thriving and vibrant team your day to day tasks will also include reviewing and amending policies, investigating and processing claims, as well as managing transactions such as policy cancellations refunds.

Easy to get to – thanks to good transport links to London and the nearby motorway network. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, banks and more right on our doorstep.

This role falls under the Insurance Distribution Directive. This means there is a requirement for Continuous Professional Development in role, in addition to ongoing screening checks once in post.

About you:

Patient and reassuring, you always go at the customers’ pace, making them feel comfortable whether you’re discussing a policy renewal, answering general queries, or looking at new insurance opportunities. Enthusiastic, willing to learn and open to new ideas you bring an approachable style to building relationships with customers and colleagues alike. It is also essential that you have the following:

* Previous exposure within the Insurance or Financial Services Industry

* Successful sales experience within a customer-focused environment

* Ability to work with others in developing existing and new business

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* A minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C, or equivalent, including Maths and English.

You will also be required to attend training courses arranged and run by NFU Mutual and to pass the relevant licensing qualifications within an agreed time frame.
