You'll be working for British Gypsum in Loughborough. British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK. In every kind of building - from home to work, from the local supermarket to the local hospital - we help to create partitions, provide comfort, protect against fire and insulate against sound.

As part of our commitment to providing continual excellent customer service, we are looking to appoint a Customer Experience Advisor to join our team in East Leake on a 12 month FTC basis.

This could be for you if you can demonstrate:

Previous experience working in a customer support role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build strong relationships and to show empathy and understanding
The ability to work as part of a team that strives to continually improve its service
Strong problem solving skills and the initiative to take ownership of an issue
Tenacity and the ability to see things through
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively

What will I be doing in the role?

Working within a positive and agile team environment, the role requires someone who is motivated to continually learn about customer services, and is able to build strong and authentic relationships with customers and colleagues with ease. We use our skills and experience to enhance our brand, service and business culture, and we respond to customer enquiries, process orders and have a genuine interest in our customers to build strong relationships via insightful conversations.

Typical day to day duties will include:

Receiving and processing sales orders received over the phone and electronically
Working closely with other internal departments including sales and distribution to ensure the customer is keep fully up to date regarding their order, and ensuring they receive the best service possible
Dealing with customer enquiries, amending orders and working to build strong, long-lasting customer relationships
After mastering orders and enquiries, the role will involve more specialist activities including managing export orders, dealing with bespoke orders, some account management, and supporting the Plasterboard Recycling Scheme
Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and generating ideas to improve the service offered to our customers and/or the efficiency of our internal processes
