Cordant People are Delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant for a leading manufacturer based in Glenrothes!

Salary: £40 - £50k per annum
Location: Glenrothes
Contract: 40 hours per week

Successful Applicants will be expected to provide financial control and business partnering to the manufacturing organisation. Experience in operating in a fast-paced environment to challenging deadlines is essential in this role. A background in manufacturing is preferred but not essential. There will be limited travel with this role.

Day in the life as a Management Accountant:

Produce and provide manufacturing financial reports and analysis to budget.
Ensure all balance sheet and P&L accounts are properly analysed and supported with appropriate documentation (including producing balance sheet reconciliations).
Ownership of the full manufacturing account and manufacturing commercial P&L.
Control of full manufacturing budget process.
Control of costing process and cover of costing as needed for other manufacturing facility.
Ownership of cost savings programme, meetings and driving actions.
Support New Product Development process with relevant financials.
Submission of monthly management accounting data to the Finance Management Team.
Overseeing the standard cost setting process.
Production variance analysis to standard.
Working Capital control through stock reduction, increasing stock turns and actively using slow moving inventory.
Oversee the stock taking.
Participate in external and internal audits.
Fixed asset maintenance.
Reduce exceptions through root cause analysis.Additional job roles:
Supporting manufacturing and business projects as required.
Business Partnering and ad hoc analysis for the manufacturing team.
Management of the Accounting Associate.What we are looking for in a Management Accountant:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Strong MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
Excellent problem solver.
Can demonstrate the ability to prioritise, multitask whilst retaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Previous experience with BaaN would be a distinct advantage.
