The Role

Willmott Dixon is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our busy in-house Network Services team on a 6 month fixed-term contract. Although the team is Letchworth based, this is a hybrid role which will involve a mix of office, home and field based working.

The Project

Key Responsibilities

To provide a high level of technical expertise within the Network Team across supported systems (WAN, LAN, Wireless, and QoS).
To actively participate in Projects, Problem Management and Change Management initiatives.
Planning, scheduling, and implementing of all Change Requests through CAB and routine maintenance activities for the team.
Implement technical installations and testing according to design documentation and project planning.
To provide technical documentation to include high and low-level technical designs.Technical

Experience of designing, deploying, and supporting Fortinet firewalls, including: FortiAnalyser & FortiManager
Experience with designing, deploying, and supporting Cisco Routers & Switches
Solid experience with network management tools, including: SolarWinds, PRTG, SNMP
Solid experience with Infrastructure Security, including ACS, ACLs, Vlans & VRFs
Solid experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN and resilient WAN technologies.
A strong understanding of routing protocols, including: BGP & OSPF
A strong background in technical troubleshooting
Working knowledge of QOS
A good understanding of Wireless and Proxy (Bluecoat & Zscaler) would be idealEssential and Desirable Criteria

Qualifications and Membership

Essential

Degree qualified in Computing or related discipline or equivalent professional experience
CCNPDesirable

ITIL Foundation
