Retail Operations Manager - Food and Beverage Concessions - Event Space - East London - up to £45k

We are looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Concessions Retail Manager, with relevant knowledge of the retail and catering environment and a qualification in retail, catering or hospitality management, to join a leading events venue in the Docklands, London.

Joining a world class venue, the main responsibility of this role is to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage offerings, including both retail and hospitality across the venue, therefore this role could suit someone who has managed the operations of a retail centre, airport/train station or event venue’s food and beverage units, or similar.

Working with the Food Safety and Compliance Officer you will develop the catering proposition in order to maximise revenue opportunities and enhance the customer experience.

Suitable candidates will be strategic and creative thinkers as this role will support the Head of F&B in the operational delivery of the food and beverage strategy.

Key responsibilities as the Retail Operations Manager - Food and Beverage Concessions will include:

* Being the main point of contact for more than 20 retail units, managing the day-to-day operations, preparing opening schedules and event profiles and coordinating regular meetings

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with the senior contacts of the retail partners to ensure all potential commercial opportunities are explored

* Taking the lead in managing retail unit leases and assisting in unit refurbishments and new brand roll outs

* Working with all retail and hospitality partners and their staff to ensure high levels of customer service - proactively developing and implementing CS initiatives

* Assisting in the planning, implementation and communication of catering plans for each assigned event liaising with partners, retail units, clients and internal teams as needed

* Managing and recording departmental revenues and coordinating financial audits as required

* Assisting the Head of F&B in conducting regular forecasting and budget reports

* General administration

What we’re looking for:

* Previous experience in a similar F&B Retail Operations Coordination role, ideally gained in a retail, transport or event venue

* Relevant knowledge of the retail and catering environment

* A qualification in retail, catering or hospitality management would be highly advantageous

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build successful business relationships

* IT literate including good MS Office and database management experience

* Excellent numeracy skills and financial understanding

* Customer orientated

* Highly organised with strong planning skills

* Strategic and creative thinker

* Dynamic approach withe the ability to wok under pressure

* Basic Food Handling / Hygiene Certificates would be beneficial
