Business Development Manager - Medical Devices

Salary: c£45,000, plus bonus potential with Company Car, iPhone and laptop

We have two positions available; one is based in the Northern UK Territory and the other is to cover the Southern UK Territory

A Business Development Manager is required by leading, established medical instrumentation design and manufacturer. The main job purpose is developing and managing new business of their respiratory medical devices.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and managing new business by working with various medical establishments/departments including:

Medical Device Distributors
Wholesalers
Key opinion Leaders
Occupational Health Departments
Emergency Services (Ambulance and Fire)
Primary Care Suppliers
Care and Nursing Homes
Private Hospitals
NHS Hospitals The role will be remote working involving travel within a defined territory (Southern or Northern part of the UK).

Key Tasks:

Develop, plan and implement actions to achieve company targets
Negotiate (within guidelines) prices, discounts and terms to ensure the best value deals are secured in align will UK pricing and that expense spending is within the agreed budget
Analyse and evaluate weekly and monthly sales figures for account growth and trends
Fully utilise resilience skills to revert any negative trending data back to a positive situation in the most effective and efficient manner
Influence and negotiate with a clear commercial focus and a high margin of success
Share best practice on market access initiatives with marketing team
Work closely with Sales and Marketing Manager/Managing Director and marketing team to optimise business returns
Identify opportunities for shared investment and partnership projects between the Company and defined customers
Maintain a high level of understanding of competitor products and industry trends through networking and the web and develop strategies to convert business
To undertake any such reasonable additional tasks as are deemed necessary to fulfil the role

Skills / Experience Required:

Significant sales background, ideally in medical devices
Self-driven to exceed targets within an established time-frame
Able to build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
A team worker who can work effectively and proactively with others
Organised with the ability to prioritise own workload
Management of the "Complex Sale"
Ability to present and communicate at Board level
IT skills - proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Resilient with good problem solving skills
Negotiation skills
Commercially minded, flexible and diplomatic, Innovative, Multi-tasker
Full UK Driving Licence

We have two positions available; One is to cover the Northern UK Territory and the other is to cover the Southern UK Territory

Candidates location:

Southern England: Ideally M4 - M40 corridors. Other areas in the south will be considered.

Northern England: M1 - M6 Corridor. Other areas will be considered.
