An experienced Network Engineer who will have primary responsibilities managing, designing, supporting, and implementing network services for a large, distinguished financial firm. This position needs to have additional experience with leading large projects with soft skills that include leadership, managing client expectations, project management, and reporting. You will be joining a team that is responsible for a global, highly available network infrastructure that is designed to meet business objectives and SLAs. SD-WAN, automation, and cloud networks are at the forefront of innovation for our team.
Designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure in a Global, multi-region and multi-cloud environment
Validate and test Architecture and Design solutions to produce detailed engineering specifications with recommended design and vendor technologies
Analyze data and network capacity models to obtain performance metrics
Develop automated methods and techniques to remediate network events and minimize operational complexity
Monitor network performance and adhere to configuration policy and standards
Provide and demonstrate leadership/guidance during team peer review sessions and steering committees.
Work with project management teams to ensure proper collaboration and timing guidelines for project delivery
Collaborate with your management team to properly select and implement design, policies, procedures, and tools for the Network environment
Work within change management policies to ensure proper approvals and change awareness to the Network Infrastructure
6+ years' experience with Cisco Nexus infrastructure, Arista infrastructure, Juniper infrastructure, MPLS networks, ASA-VPNs, Routing & Switching (Enterprise, WAN and Campus)
Data center infrastructure implementation including 3-tier and spine-leaf designs
Proven hands-on Network expertise in troubleshooting and design concepts
Extensive experience with capacity planning, disaster recovery, and network security
Experience with Network protocols, scripting/programming configurations, and performance monitoring
Liaise with vendors for Hardware/software strategy and problem resolutions
Experience with EVPN and VXLAN implementation and design
Ability to perform data, protocol, and packet capture analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
CCNP or Higher (CCIE) is a plus
SDN hands-on experience (and concepts) is a plus
Packet broker (Gigamon) and Automation tools (ie Ansible, Python) hands-on experience is a plus
In-depth Network Knowledge about:
TCP/IP IPv4/6, Multicast Routing; Routing Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
AWS and Azure network designs as well as other public cloud service providers
Data center and Tier 1 co-location build outs
802.11 Wireless Management and protocols
802.1x Authentication or ISE
Network Security policies and designs
