Our client is looking for an experience Finance Professional on a part time interim basis initially. They would like someone for 3 days a week, iitially on a 6 month contract. They are paying between £40,000 to £45,000 annual salary which will be pro rata for a 3 day week.

Job Purpose:

To provide effective financial control systems for the business and manage all day-to-day financial administration including payroll and pensions as well as fulfilling statutory reporting and accounting functions.

Principal duties:

* Work with the Senior Team to complete and publish full Management Accounts to the Board every quarter

* Manage the payroll including collecting payroll adjustments in a timely and accurate manner; submission of payroll information to agency

* Administer the companies pension and healthcare schemes

* Work with the Directors and budget holders to set and monitor annual budgets; Provide expertise and support for designated budget holders as required

* Act as budget holder for designated areas as directed

* Forecast, monitor and manage cash-flow

* Manage pre-paid credit cards, transferring money onto the cards as required

* Reconcile all bank accounts and credit cards at month end

* Manage the purchase ledger, entering purchase invoices onto Quick Books Online (QBO) and entering payments onto the CAF bank system for approval

* Maintain all aspects of the QBO accounting system

* Reconcile the current account on a daily/weekly basis

* Manage the sales ledger, credit control and payment plans for fees. Including raising the majority of the sales invoices.

* Manage and instruct other members of staff in all matters relating to the administration and recording of day-to-day income and expenditure

* Monitor and review financial control systems to ensure they remain fit for purpose

KEY SKILLS

* Experience of taking responsibility for the financial management of a small/medium sized business

* Experience of compiling quarterly management accounts and reporting to Board

* Proven working knowledge of accounting systems and procedures, including sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations.

* Sound knowledge of payroll and pension procedures

* Sound knowledge of and experience of working with financial management software

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage non-specialists through basic financial procedures

* Be able to produce work accurately, on time and to a consistently high standard, working well under pressure, prioritise workflow independently and show initiative

* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

* Be tactful and diplomatic in approach and able to deal with confidential matters with complete discretion

* The ability to work in a changing environment and respond flexibly to changing needs and demands

Desirable
