Seetec is rapidly growing and maturing, and its Digital Technology Services Group is now looking for high performance individuals to join and shape the new security architecture for the group. As the IT Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing the organisation’s security architecture and improving its security maturity stance.

Our successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent in experience and have extensive experience in a Senior Security Architecture Role. We need your skills of leading and working within effective teams delivering Security Solutions that have been proved successful in meeting complex business requirements and in enabling standardisation, simplification, sharing and reuse.

Key Responsibilities

•Determining IT security requirements by evaluating business strategies and tender/contract requirements, researching information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability assessments and risk assessments, studying architecture/platforms, identifying potential integration issues and preparing cost estimates.
•Designing the IT Security Architecture that forms the basis of all information and data development and delivery in support of business objectives and requirements.
•Driving appropriate security change through the development of architectures that fit changing business requirements, mitigating risks, and conforming to the relevant security policies, balancing information risk against the cost of countermeasures.
•Preparing security reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends.
•Providing input to the Information Security Certification and Accreditation processes.
•Strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to promote and continue to develop the IT Security Strategy to exploit innovative products, services and solutions that deliver business benefit in the ever-changing Cyber Security landscape.
•Documenting and addressing information security, information security architecture and security engineering requirements and translating technology and environmental conditions into security designs and processes.
•Ensuring acquired or developed systems / architectures are consistent with IT Security.
•Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as may be determined as reasonable for the role from time to time.

Skills and Experience

•Be of graduate calibre with either a degree and/or relevant experience.
•Able to demonstrate experience of an architecture or security architecture role.
•Track record of leading and working within effective teams, delivering architecture or security architecture that has proven successful in meeting complex business requirements and in enabling standardisation, simplification, sharing and re-use.
•Certified as a CISSP or equivalent.
•Experience of IT standards such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, NIST, etc.
•Experience of working within a public sector organisation (Council/Local Authority/NHS/University etc) would be desirable.
•Experience of working with HM Government security frameworks would be an advantage.

Additional Information

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 pa (dependent on experience)
Location: Flexible remote working with occasional travel to office based Hockley, Essex
Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday- Thursday 8.30 am - 4.30pm Friday (Full Time)
