This is a varied role encompassing operational finance, management accounts and FP&A along with a business partnering emphasis to help drive performance and monitor costs.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
*The provision of timely and accurate management accounting information, via the preparation of daily metrics & performance reports, spend analyses, forecasts and budgets.
*Detailed analysis and understanding of costs, including driving cost reduction initiatives across the business.
*Working with location teams to drive efficiencies in business data collection and usage.
*Identifying opportunities for improvements across the businesses, and implementation thereof.
*It is a key duty of the role to ensure that colleagues understand the management information supplied and correct actions are taken as a result.
*Produce the month end accounts through to completion in line with reporting deadlines.
*Review accounts against plan / forecast, explaining any variances.
*Cost control against budgets
*Sales & margin analysis as required.
*Travel between locations required as directed by Controller.
*Improvement and audit of internal procedures.
*Ownership of financial transactions, forecasts and plans alongside the Controller.
*Present data to management as and when required.
*Assistance with internal & external audits.
*Management of Inventory and ownership of Balance Sheet accounts.
*Review of production variances.
*Capital Equipment requests and ownership of the associated accounts.
*Review of systems and analysis of risk.
*Maintaining records and preparing management information, Forecast Review Packs and Budgetary information.
*Any other duties as may be required by the controller and Plant Manager
The successful Management Accountant will be a qualified CIMA or ACCA accountant, ideally have a background in manufacturing, strong business partnering skills with a real passion for getting beyond the numbers. You will be a confident communicator, able to deal with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to be able to work in a fast-paced business environment.
