Your new role

As a Principal Security Engineer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our security platforms and with a focus on cloud infrastructure and pipeline security. You’ll be given the opportunity to lead and design security at the root of our services, applying controls both across, and within, our multi-account environments.

The team you’ll join

This role sits as part of our Group Security function, a dynamic highly motivated team committed to ensuring that EMIS Group is organisationally and technically secure in a fast evolving environment with substantial critical assets, systems and patient data to protect in multiple locations and geographies. You’ll report in to Pankaj, our CISO.

What you’ll bring

The Principal Security Engineer will be capable of working with a varied tech stack, AZURE, AWS and diverse SaaS tools and technology to embed automation in the pipeline.

These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success for this role, however, we’d still love to talk to you even if you don’t tick all of them:

* Formal Degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field,

* Experience with application of Cyber Security within in development pipelines and Dev Ops with a good understanding of customer centric design principles and software development.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills at both a technical and non-technical level

* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks

* Proven ability to work and effectively prioritise in a dynamic, collaborative, and decentralised work environment

* Knowledge of compliance standards like CIS, NIST in conjunction with PCI-DSS and GDPR.

* With working knowledge of secure development practices and standards such as OWASP and MITRE especially on cloud providers

* Threat Modelling and dynamic security testing experience, to identify any security risks before live deployment

* Hands on Azure/AWS security configuration and scripting skills and certifications

* Proven experience of team management and operating in matrix structures

* Experience with working in an agile environment.?
