Overview
We are looking for an experienced data manager to build and develop a scalable, managed, enriched Data Asset that is the backbone of our advanced analytic solutions.

The Data Manager will be responsible for managing the JLA Data Asset, expanding and optimising our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimising data flows into the data asset. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimising data systems and building them from the ground up. The Data Manager will work hand-in-hand with our data analysts on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. You will have strong communication skills working with internal and external stakeholders to identify new data assets that can be leveraged by our analytics team.

Key Responsibilities

As the data manager, you will be responsible for:

Building, managing and maintaining a scalable cloud based data asset for JLA that the analytics team will leverage as a platform for the building of optimised data analytics solution
Designing, developing, and supporting new and current ETL processes employing industry standards and best practices to enhance loading of data into the data asset
Comfortable in handling Data in different forms (structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sources)
Formulating techniques to ensure data within the data asset is consistently maintained ensuring high levels of data quality
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
Managing relationships with our external data providers ensuring all data inputs (internal / external) are received and reflected within the data asset
Having regular touch points with data analyst / data scientist to capture requirements for new data flows, data enrichment needs and data management requestsQualifications and Skills

Possess Bachelor's degree in an analytical related field, including information technology, science, and engineering discipline
7 years or more experience performing data warehouse architecture development and management
High proficiency in dimensional modelling techniques and their applications
Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills; as well as the ability to make good judgement and work with both technical and business personnel
Knowledge of Model deployments built using Python or R using platforms such as Data Bricks
Strong experience working within cloud environment, specifically Microsoft Azure
Experience building and optimising 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets
