Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30 with one hour unpaid lunch.

Salary: Up to £22,000

Our client who's a market leader in the transportation of bulk liquid chemicals and gases is mainly focused on the safety and quality of their world class service.

As their success is majorly dependent on their vehicle's moving time and schedule, they are looking to appoint a Payroll & Fleet Administrator.

The successful candidate will be working in a small team and reporting to Location Transport Manager.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure all drivers are paid accurately, on time, and in line with contracts and Company standards. This role will also include administrative support for their fleet department.


Administering the payroll system using iTrent based on managing incoming data from the drivers
Processing payroll, including timesheet and cut-off times, amendments, payroll runs etc.
Investigating and resolving payroll queries from drivers
Authorizing drivers holidays along with management of holidays allocated spreadsheet
Regularly updating and control of driving licensing and qualifications
Ongoing Tachograph and absence records analysis and filing
Administering fuel cards along with bridge and tunnel tags & tolls
Raising purchase orders using internal IT system
Regular filing of operational paperwork
Providing fleet management support with including equipment servicing and updating records
Providing administration support within the team

Key Skills:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
High level of attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
Enjoy being a part of fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passionate on building internal and external including various departments or suppliers
Ability to work to the team and personal deadlines
Live within 45 minutes distance
Work well as part of a team and on own initiative
Experience within the transport industry
Knowledge of iTrent preferred but not essential
Working within a busy fleet environment
