Technical Engineer in Complaint Investigation Unit (f/m/d) - Engineering/medical device/technology/German

Role:
For our client Roche based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a Technical Engineer in Complaint Investigation Unit.

The Complaint Investigation Unit team in Rotkreuz provides root cause investigations to customer complaints within Roche Molecular Diagnostics for testing in commercial and hospital labs. Our in-depth root cause investigations provide the information necessary to continuously improve our products and assure patient safety. Within the Complaint Investigation Unit supporting RMD systems, primarily focused on cobas® Liat®, we are looking for a Technical Engineer as Contractor to join our team. In this position, you will be identifying root causes and/or causal factors of customer complaints.

You're someone who has an independent interest in technology and the willingness to explore technologies new to you. You have a genuine enthusiasm and commitment to troubleshooting and problem solving with a strong customer orientation and you can communicate your ideas easily to varied audiences. In order to be successful in this position you have a detailed-oriented working style and the ability to organize, prioritize and delegate effectively.

Tasks and responsibilities:
. Performing complex system complaint investigations, identifying root causes to the lowest component necessary to enabling solutions to be developed. Full accountability for the timely management and resolution of individual complaint investigations
. Scientific documentation of complaint investigations, eg test plan, proof of statistical relevance, documentation of methodology, conclusion and traceability of an investigation
. Applies troubleshooting & problem solving methodology and draws conclusions on individual cases
. Represents and communicates results of individual cases in interfacing meetings
. Establish/maintain required support network/interfaces in the assigned area
. Maintain own formal training up to date (highly regulated industry requirement)

Must haves:
. University Degree in Engineering or Life Sciences related disciplines eg Mechanical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Medical Engineering, Information Technology or similar
. Technical orientation, ability to learn new & complex systems and technologies (focus on hardware, software & application)
. Previous work experience in the area of medical technology in either product support or Medical Device Research & Development or equivalent experience with a focus on hardware engineering and a high technical orientation
. Problem solving and ability to communicate ideas to varied audiences
. Very good spoken and written command of English (min. B2) (the Documentation is in English)

Nice to haves:
. Good command of German
. Experience in using and applying script languages and data analysis tools (such as Python, PowerShell or Jmp)
. Ability to work independently as well as in a team contributing with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor
. Sense of responsiveness; combining customer focus and service orientation with regulatory compliance
. Accurate working style, the ability to organize, prioritize, delegate effectively, and to handle multiple tasks in parallel in close collaboration with the other team members
