Financial Analyst (Manufacturing) - Connecticut

A globally leading manufacturing company is searching for a Financial Analyst based in Connecticut.

As a financial analyst, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of the company's financial statements and compliance. Key responsibilities can be seen below;

Accounting Policy/Compliance

  • Overall management of Company's lease data and processes, including:
    • Maintenance of lease database, including review and input of new and existing lease data
    • Verification of summarized lease data from U.S. and international operations and coordination with other Headquarters' departments
    • Periodic testing of database reporting, controls and processes
    • Generation of the required accounting entries and required quarterly/annual disclosures
    • Update, as necessary, the Company's financial policies related to leases
  • Assist in documentation of internal controls over financial reporting and other processes at Headquarters, including related internal control testing.
  • Provide support surrounding the Company's Finance Manual accounting policies, including process documentation and other SOX compliance projects as needed.

Reporting

  • Assist with various reporting requirements, including:
    • Support the Quarterly and Annual SEC reporting process and compliance on Forms 10-K (including Annual Report), 10-Q, 8-K and related disclosures
    • Assist with the preparation of earnings release, related management scripts and other press releases as needed.
    • Company-wide statutory reporting process
    • Assist with the preparation of key financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flow and other key statements
    • Analyse monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of key financial statements accounts and operational results.

Qualifications:

  • CPA (or working towards attaining licence) preferred.
  • Previous 2+ year public accounting experience, including manufacturing industry a plus, with experience in researching and documenting technical GAAP accounting and SEC reporting issues.
  • Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls.
  • Highly proficient in Excel (advanced formulas and macros).
  • Self-starter and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work and interact with local management teams throughout the world, as well as internal and external auditors.
