Junior/Graduate level Bid Manager - German speaker

My client a leading telecoms vendor is currently looking for a Junior/Graduate level Bid Manager to join them on a long term project.

This role will suit a Graduate level individual or someone who is looking to get into Bid Management.


Based in either Germany or another EU country , you will work as part of the EMEA Go-To-Market (GTM) team, managing and coordinating bids for content and quality.

This role requires attention to detail and organization skills whilst having an ability to work across multiple functions to demanding deadlines for significant client customers.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with and support the Sales team from the proposal creation, through coordination and submission.
  • Assemble and manage virtual bid teams across the organization, working with a wide variety of colleagues at all levels.
  • Arrange and lead proposal kick-off meetings, review meetings and pre-submission meetings.
  • Create a bid plan with realistic deadlines, work to ensure timescales are achieved.
  • Ensure internal governance is followed and manage risks.
  • Coordinate inputs from a variety of key stakeholders, typically engaging sales, technical, services, product teams, finance, legal and others as needed in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate reviews/sign off of all aspects of the bid, ensuring inputs are incorporated into the proposal in the required format.
  • Contribute to the written proposal in terms of content and presentation.
  • Ensure proposal documents follow corporate guidelines, policies and quality standards.
  • Provide advice on flow and quality to content owners.
  • Manage document governance, including create and maintain master document sets, including backups.

Background/Skills (REQUIRED):

  • Degree level educated or equivalent work experience in roles such as: Bid Coordinator, Sales Operations, etc.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience of dealing with multiple levels and disciplines inside and outside of an organization.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoys collaborative working.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and exceed deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling high volumes of information.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German or Spanish.
  • Any other European language is desirable
