The DevOps team at TravelClick is responsible for the evolution of our automation infrastructure, best practices and enablement in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. We are seeking talented individuals to contribute to the next generation of DevOps that will lead the way to faster, fully automated, and secure software releases.
Are you the next DevOps Engineer we are looking for?
You will innovate and overcome technical challenges by implementing effective, reliable and scalable solutions. From upgrading our automation platforms, launching new technologies to the environment, resolving complex issues, and automating deployments.
You will work across a range of technical areas including scalable and resilient infrastructure, automation and provisioning, testing and deployment, monitoring, logging, and security.
In this role you'll:
Implement and maintain automation tools and frameworks (Chef Enterprise stack, CI/CD pipelines, etc.).
Collaborate with multiple dev teams to improve the company's engineering tools, systems, procedures, and security.
Develop and maintain documentation around our tooling, processes, and procedures.
Build and maintain automation to deploy highly available systems.
Solve deep technical issues and develop solutions that extend service capabilities to meet customer needs.
About the ideal candidate:
Education: B.S. in computer science or other relevant field or a minimum of 7 years of related work experience. Relevant Work Experience:
Seven (7) years of experience in computing or related technology areas.
Three (3) years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent role.
Solid understanding of technology operations.
Solid understanding of IT strategy, architecture, engineering, operations, policy, processes, standards, organizational design, governance, change management, enabling technology and program delivery.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline and associated tools.
Computing: Windows Administration, Linux systems administration, automation scripting.
Languages: Excellent command of English, oral and written
Prior success in automating real-world production environments using Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible or cloud native equivalents.
Experience with source code and software collaboration technologies (such as GitHub, BitBucket, Artifactory or similar platform).
Experience configuring and managing continuous integration Servers (such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Travis CI, Circle CI, or similar CI technology).
Strong Scripting skills (such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, or other Scripting language).
Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling.
Four (4) years of practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
Strong track record of delivering projects of demonstrable complexity & scale.
Proficiency in deploying highly available, resilient large-scale distributed systems.
GCP, AWS or Azure experience.
Familiarity with logging and monitoring infrastructure (such as ELK, Datadog, New Relic, AppDynamics or similar logging and monitoring tools).
Experience with automated testing tools (such as Selenium, JMeter, or similar testing suites).
Experience in management and orchestration of containerized services: Kubernetes, Google GKE, Amazon EKS, Rancher, etc.
Experience with software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, deployment, release and change management).
Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written.
Strong team-player, willingness and interest to collaborate and work well in a team
