We are recruiting an IT Network Administrator to be responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. You will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the Institute’s operating environment. You will also maintain the ongoing reliability, performance, and support of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring the operating environments, responding to incidents, problems, and planning for growth.
What you'll do:
Providing a timely, customer focused, efficient IT support for APCOA operations
Provision of high level 3rd Line Infrastructure support
Proactively planning upgrades and system maintenance within IT roadmap
Managing escalated support calls
Taking ownership for risk identification and escalation
Driving process improvements and recommendation
Extensive experience in a variety of IT infrastructure areas including networking, servers, security, desktop, printers and communications
Extensive experience in VMWare, Citrix and Microsoft, IT Hardware, HP Procurve switches and HP 3Par Storage
Troubleshoot advanced network issues such as ADSL broadband issues
There may be the occasional need to provide direct field support (in person) for installations and IT Support
Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
To ‘cascade’ IT service information as required and to maintain good communications throughout the team
Prepare documents, meeting materials and correspondence
Perform basic administrative support duties as required to meet specific operational objectives
Provide assistance and support to colleagues in IT-related matters
Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers
What you'll bring:
A Microsoft Server and ITIL certification or equivalent is highly desirable
Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in IT, with some experience directly relevant to the industry or technologies used within it
Ideally a background in software or the parking industry
Process orientated and KPI Driven
High Attention to detail and a hunger to improve systems and process
Be able to manage cross-functional resources to deliver short- to medium-term objectives, demonstrating determination and flexibility to overcome barriers
Methodical approach to problem analysis, and active involvement in problem solving
What we'll offer you:
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays
