DB2 z/OS Database Administrator

Our client is urgently looking for DB2 z/OS Database Administrator to join their team based in Zurich, Switzerland.

For our DB2 Services team in Zürich, we are looking for a DB2 Database Administrator who can help us:
create database objects, maintaining them by DB2 housekeeping and do performance tuning
review DB2 related incidents and problem tickets, and resolve them to increase the overall production quality
resolve Database related issues
take responsibility for data availability and recoverability of DB2
review orders in DML and DDL Scripts
You will be working in the DB2 Services team in Zürich and you will interact with the Operation teams and the related Support teams in Basel/Zurich and Singapore. Our Goal is to have stable and uninterrupted international Production-, Test and Development Environments.
Our Team works alongside the engineering team to develop/integrate database related tools and infrastructure components and working along with the integration and application development teams to develop and implement physical database designs.
Your experience and skills
Experienced with physical database design, skilled for large databases
able to understand the impact of application design on performance, extensive background in DB2 database performance monitoring and tuning
Willed to provide 24x7 production support
Mastering the Microsoft Office palette (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
5+ years of experience in the DB2 Mainframe software and database administration
area using DB2 for z/OS
Expert know how in TSO/ISPF, REXX, z/OS and IBM/BMC Utilities
Production support skills in a high availability environment with strong customer service focus
Good written and spoken German and English skills
Knowledge and experience in SQL language, database design concepts, DB2 catalog structure and stored procedures
