Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Flexible working from the Bolton Office

Contract Type: Full Time

Salary: Up to £50,000 dependent on experience

Who we are looking for

The Software Engineer will have working knowledge of an extensive range of web technologies with a drive to learn more. Your duties will primarily revolve around the design and build of custom software required by the business, as well as maintaining current solutions, adapting it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join a growing IT team as we transform into a market leading IT function. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join us at our Bolton Office with the option of working flexibly from the office. Reporting to the Digital Architect, you will be the technical point of contact for software implementation across our Central Function, as well as providing support for the enhancement and development of our core systems. You will work closely with end-users and SaaS providers, often bridging the gap between solution capabilities and business needs.


* Understanding of database technology such as MySQL and SQL

* Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications

* Understanding of AWS, but training will be provided

* Working knowledge of NodeJS

* Working knowledge of Reach/Reach native

* Excellent attention to detail

* Stakeholder management

* Must have excellent organisational skills

* Team player with a passion for excellent customer service
