Job Description

As Director of Human Resources, you will serve as the lead HR Business Partner for the Power Tools (PT) Division in North America (NA) with approximately 1 billion in sales and 3,200 associates.

Responsibilities Include:

HR Business Partner for the location Mount Prospect
In addition to HR Leadership - serve as the Global HR Business Partner for the Business Unit Rotary Tools, with main locations in US, Mexico and Europe
You will define the regional People Strategy, based on overall division People Strategy, achieving divisional HR focus topic goals
Coordinate HR topics such as Smart Work, Leadership Feedback, Functional Resource Reviews, Associate Relations, and Associate Turnover, in partnership with the HR Business Partners across the various PT sites throughout North America
Responsible for driving and supporting Agile Transformation, Leadership Development, and Cultural Change within Power Tools NA
Implements and executes Global HR processes (eg Talent Management, Salary Review, etc)
Advises the Global PT experts and Country Process Owners on country-specific HR topics
Collaborates closely with respective regional corporate HR leads and PT Global HR Business Partners
Leads and develops the maturity and competence of HR associates in an agile organization
Leverages HR digitalization and HR services in region for improved HR efficiency
This position has dual reporting, local and international; target line to the Head of Human Resources for the Power Tools division (Germany) and disciplinary to the Regional President, North America.


Required Degree:

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business or other related business degree

Preferred Degree:

Masters of Business or Masters of Science

Required Experience:

Solid and fluid working experience (minimally 7-10 years) local labor laws - FLSA.
Solid local labor and associate relations processes, including experience navigating topics related to NLRA
Collaborative leader with a strong agile mindset and the ability to inspire your team
Proven track record in leading transformation and driving change
Fosters openness, transparency, and collaboration for a high performance culture
Profound knowledge of innovative HR instruments and practices and rich experience in different HR functions including international experience
Strong communication and intercultural skills and can build relationships across hierarchies and different cultural backgrounds
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility paired with a clear focus on impact and implementation
Goal oriented and results driven
Ideally, you have experience in a large, international organization
