As an integral member of the Pharmaxo finance team, we are looking for an individual who is AAT level 4 minimum qualified with good knowledge and experience of Management Accounting, who is able to improve the efficiency and robustness of existing accounting processes.
You will be responsible for:
Assisting with the timely preparation of the monthly management accounts packs including the preparation/review of monthly VAT returns; accurate gross margin analysis and rebate claims.
What you will be doing:
Assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts pack
Analyse gross margins by drug/drug service
Prepare and post accruals, prepayments and adjusting journals
Control the Fixed Asset register and post depreciation journals
Collate, submit and chase supplier rebate claims
Respond to escalated sales invoice queries
Monitor Sales and Purchase ledgers, and provide support to relevant teams
Develop new analysis (e.g., margin analysis) and improve existing spreadsheet models
Assist with process improvements across the company
Prepare monthly VAT and Intrastat returns
Set up priority bank payments
Assist with provision of supporting analysis for the statutory accounts
Account for large capital expenditure projects
Assist with stock takes, reconciliations and investigations
Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintenance
Manage preparations for stocktake process
Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller or CFO
Experience and Skills, you will need:
At least 3 years’ experience working in Management Accounting
Supervisory experience would be an advantage
Ability to apply specialist learning involving detailed analysis of a high level of information and knowledge to improve existing credit control processes
Ability to provide technical guidance to the Accounts Team
Communicates to a commercial level
A keen eye for detail
Excel skills to intermediate level (vLookups and Pivot Tables)
Ability to develop new reports/reporting procedures
Self-confidence and good interpersonal skills

Salary £25,500 to £29,500 per annum
