Pertemps are recruiting for a Accounts Manager for our client based in Broughton, Chester.

Accounts Manager:
Our client is seeking a highly structured and process-driven individual, well-informed in finance and bookkeeping. The ideal applicant will be AAT qualified, but 2 years previous experience within an SME will be considered. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clients’ accounts, bookkeeping and credit control.

Duties and Responsibilities:
On a day to day basis, tasks will include:
1.Creating and perusing Purchase Orders.
2.Preparing and checking sales and contractors invoices.
3.Managing bank reconciliations, credit control and payments.
4.Liaising with and fielding queries from clients, contractors, suppliers and colleagues.
5.Providing financial management reports.
6.Preparing budgets with the Management Team.
7.Calculating and presenting VAT and other HMRC returns.
8.Finalising year end accounts with Company accountants.
9.Maintaining and up keeping records.
10.Identifying and delivering process improvements.
11.Delivering high standards of customer service through accurate and professional verbal and written communications.
12.Expense Reports.

Qualifications you will need:

GCSEs at grade A – C in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) - Essential
Qualified or studying for AAT level 2 and 3Essential experience required:

2 years previous work experience in a similar accounts roleDesirable additions:

Understanding of Workflow Max project management software
Working knowledge of Xero Accounting System
Skills and knowledge:
-Experience of accounting or book-keeping.
-Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
-Good interpersonal and communication skills.
-Organised with attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
-Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and effectively prioritise.
-Able to use own initiative to resolve day to day issues.
-Outstanding customer service skills.
