Our growing client is part of a group of companies which supply services to the construction industry. They are a market leader in their field of expertise and boast a national presence with divisions across the UK. They are now looking for a Web Developer to support their busy team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Web Developer who has a genuine passion for developing web applications and working with Microsoft SQL Server. The days and hours of work will be Monday to Friday either 8.30am to 5pm or 9am to 5.30pm with the option to work from home 2/3 days per week.
WEB DEVELOPER JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining websites and digital platforms. This includes both building websites from scratch and working on existing projects with the Marketing and IT Development team.
You will develop and deliver a professional online experience, optimising the effectiveness of all digital assets including websites, online services and applications.
The role includes Front end and Back-end development using a range of Content Management Systems, to write, edit, test and maintain all online content and keep websites, secure and up-to-date.
You'll carry out research into digital best practice to support improvements in website design, layout and content.
You will also support the team in building HTML emails for email marketing campaigns, construct digital advertising campaigns for a variety of platforms.
And you'll work closely with marketing and design colleagues to ensure SEO and digital best practice is embedded within the team.
WEB DEVELOPER PERSON SPECIFICATION
A degree in a IT/Web related discipline is desirable but not essential
Good knowledge of the Adobe Suite and SEO techniques
Excellent time management and highly organised
The ability to work under pressure
Fluency in English, written and spoken
