We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Platform Engineer for a short term contract to assist a number of our clients in building an Azure data platform. The Brief:

The role covers designing and engineering an Azure Data Platform. This is a hands-on role so extensive engineering, development and modelling experience is a must.


To be considered, you must have a minimum of three years' experience working with Azure/AWS and be able to demonstrate:

  • Design and architecture experience with ADF, Data Lake, SQL Database, Analysis Services, PowerBI etc
  • Experience of Datamodelling using Kimball/Inmon etc.
  • Knowledge of Databricks highly desirable, as is knowledge of Real Time ingestion methods and associated Azure tooling
  • Build models for ETL to enable code development to be undertaken by third parties
  • Knowledge of and use of keystores/vaults and appropriate use of service principles
  • Good understanding of ARM templates, JSON etc.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps philosophy, methods and principles to software delivery, knowledge of GIT tools and associated methodologies.

  • Be an excellent communicator, demonstrate at all times exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-directed, motivated and able to meet objectives with little or no direct supervision.
  • Be a detail-oriented, security conscious, and rigorous individual.
  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Be a team player, keen to share knowledge and willingly assist fellow team members.
