The GDPR Program Coordinator will lead the strategic and tactical management of the GDPR program and related initiatives to ensure targets are achieved. The individual should be skilled at delivering high impact program outcomes and managing stakeholders successfully across multiple levels.


Responsibilities



  • Lead the coordination and/or management of the GDPR program to meet agreed upon objectives and timelines

  • Define, implement, and update relevant processes relevant to GDPR program execution

  • Oversee the implementation of information security risk management processes

  • Articulate regulatory, security and compliance risk and business impact to stakeholders

  • Communicate the urgency and need to remediate issues or vulnerabilities commensurate with the risk it presents

  • Develop and maintain security risk and response artifacts systematically to produce security risk metrics that can measure the overall program maturity and progress

  • Create visibility and awareness at appropriate level including executive leadership teams, CISO and other on security and regulatory risks that require attention

  • Manage the program risks and issues (including identifying and logging them) and working with stakeholders to address them

  • Demonstrate ability to strike a balance between strategic and tactical activities required to run the program and remediation efforts

  • Lead coordination efforts between technology stakeholders and ensure high-quality and accurate reporting and tracking

  • Lead the GDPR program meetings including the regular status meetings with the program stakeholders

  • Build relationships and become a trusted advisor with BU and technology owners to influence change and drive ownership and accountability


Minimum Requirements



  • 7+ years' experience in managing, leading and supporting programs or projects in an organization

  • 2+ years' experience of supervisory and/or management


Critical Skills



  • Experience in delivery of strategic projects and programs of work

  • Strong experience in managing stakeholders up to Senior Executive level

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment from programme or project stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate GDPR requirements and security risks that stakeholders at multiple levels can understand

  • Good understanding and knowledge of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including Technical and Organizational Measures

  • Experience with risk management frameworks along with a solid understanding industry best practices in information security risk management

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision are a must

  • Support information risk assessments and risk acceptances, ensuring actions and goals are well documented

  • Good knowledge of information security and risk management principles and conducting risk assessments

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Experience in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other project-related tools (Visio, Project)

  • Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in managing initiatives through Jira (or must be able to learn quickly)

  • Experience in using Smartsheets

  • Project Management or Agile Certification (PMI, Prince 2, SAFe Agile, Agile Project Management and others)

  • Knowledge regarding healthcare IT and Risk Management Regulations

  • Experience in large highly segmented and regulated organizations

  • Experience interacting with security vendors and customers

  • Excellent at multitasking, and open to constant learning

  • Energetic and positive attitude


Education



  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience,

  • MBA preferred


Certifications


  • Any of the following preferred but not required: CISSP, CISA, CISM
