As a data consultancy, we specialise in data strategy, predictive modelling, email marketing, business intelligence and customer satisfaction and provide a full suite of services for our clients ranging from consultancy advice, through to the creation and execution of innovation projects and marketing campaigns.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic User Researcher that has strong experience working in an agile way, with a robust understanding of personas and user journeys. You will be well versed in conduct research, can prototype designs and is highly organised. We are looking for someone with exemplary communication skills, that is collaborative and wants to be part of a wider user research community to identify opportunities for improvement within user journeys and experience.

You will get a chance to work a number of high-profile clients from HSBC, Coty, Majestic wine through to governmental departments on digital and data transformations. As a user researcher, you will work with other members of the team to make a positive impact on the quality of our offer by demonstrating through application and experience "what good looks like" for a User Researcher.

Key responsibilities

We are looking for a User Research to work alongside our expert team of data scientists, an-analysts, project managers and strategist to deliver the best possible experiences for our clients. You will design protocols and perform research to document user behaviours and preferences for digital products. Driving all product research activities, through thorough analysis and insightful reporting will inform exceptional user experience design and development.

All aspects of research (planning, moderation, analysis, reporting) for both generative (participatory design) and evaluative (usability testing) research.
Planning, designing, and conducting the usability testing process from developing user recruitment through to test moderation, analysis and reporting.
Conducting research to gather insights for new product and concept developments (including user requirements gathering and early-stage concept and prototype testing and other approaches to ensuring the user need is fully understood).
Modelling insights gained from user research into formats to enhance organisational understanding of our users - such as personas and user journey maps.
Working closely with designers and developers to turn user data into actionable product or service requirements that feed into prototype development, and influence product direction.
Applying knowledge in human factors and the user-centred design process to digital products in an iterative development environment. Wire-framing future products to support the sprint development process.
Presenting findings and related design/business recommendations and customer in-sights to senior decision makers. Building strong relationships with testing partners to ensure they are advocates for the product at launch.
Other research into the impacts of joiner, leaver and mover process on other parts of the business and areas for improvement.
Synthesise findings & contribute outcomes of research & recommendations to en-courage uptake and adoption.
Work in a truly agile way with the relevant teams and priorities that have been set.
You will need good attention to detail and be able to ensure you consistently follow user research discovery standards within the department you are working.
You will also be part of a wider user research community and have an opportunity to contribute more widely to the role.Personal Specification: Knowledge, Experience and Skills

You will work within a fast-paced delivery team - either across several smaller services or dedicated to one larger program of work. Your research will inform policy, proposition, service, content and interaction design so that digital services work well for users and achieve their policy intent.

Knowledge and experience.

Good experience and applied knowledge of all stages of user experience product testing.
Proven track record in planning the user testing of products for multiple audiences.
Knowledge of user-centred design practices and know how to embed them into an agile workflow to deliver timely findings.
Strong experience of working in a truly agile environment and working iteratively, and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Experience of conducting user interviews.
Experience of project management to successful conclusion and working within a team including senior stakeholders.
Experience of communicating user needs to senior stakeholders.
Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and its commercial value is a bonus.
Experience analysing both quantitative and qualitative data to produce UX artefacts.
The ability to wire frame and shape product development.
Experience of working in discovery phases of projects is also an advantageEssential skills

High personably with strong written and verbal communication skills.
