JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this role/team is to ultimately manage and nurture relationships with new business clients on a national basis, in order to generate tangible business opportunities that deliver incremental sales across the 8 Lobs to cover natural customer attrition and support business growth targets.

The purpose of the management position is to lead, coach and mentor, a diverse team of proactive new business generation executives. As well as inbound telephone and web-based enquiries for key accounts and government teams. To support the business strategies and projects across international RIMA / GMA targets / FG500.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· To be responsible for leading and managing the team of Business Generation Executives through all aspects of the employee life cycle and in line with the company policies and processes, where appropriate, to ensure the achievement of key strategic objectives.

· To be responsible for achieving team sales revenue targets across all relevant areas and 8 Lines of Business in line with the FY budget, through coaching and training in order to develop and nurture relationships with prospective customers and maximizing opportunities to sell.

· Plan, strategize, prioritise and implement projects and campaigns within the sales team ensuring brand promotion and market penetration of product range to help develop wallet share, new business and opportunity creation.

· To generate tangible business opportunities for field sales to support divisional new business targets and increase market share.

· To monitor and review activity conducted in the team to ensure KPIs are met and any training needs are identified and implemented. This includes ensuring the team are responding to inbound telephone and web enquiries in a timely manner and encouraging the team to attend any suitable training to enhance their soft skills where appropriate, in order to maximise the opportunities for the company as well as the experience for the customer.

· To work cross-functionally with other teams to create reporting to help the Business Generation Executives work more efficiently and gain insight from available data to help shape working practices, this includes growing and managing the teams pipeline of opportunity.

· To adopt and utilize all available company tools in order for the BGE team to maximise performance and reach targets.

· To motivate and drive the team to adopt best practices and become ambassadors by mapping and profiling accounts in a structured way whilst protecting the company IP and limits impact of personnel changes.

· To ensure the team are provided with ongoing produce knowledge through training and shared experiences to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest company product and services offerings.

· Motivate and drive team to work as a single unit to achieve overall team targets

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Effective and proven sales team management

· Ability to motivate a sales team to achieve set target & budgets

· Manage and inspect sales team KPIs

· Ability to performance manage, coach & mentor sales team

· Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

· Able to work under own initiative

· Excellent Business Development experience with a consultative approach

· Customer focused with good attention to detail

· Ability to communicate at all levels

· Excellent time management & organizational skills

· Understanding of market sector

· Advanced level of negotiating skills

· Excellent listening skills

· Previous use of a CRM system advantageous

COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

· Internal: Ability to interact and communicate clearly with direct reports and all grades of internal staff and divisions

· External: Negotiation and communication skill right up to director level. With the ability to recognize and identify key factors in all types of situation and environments.
