Roke are currently recruiting for a junior account management professional within their Industry Business Unit, with experience of selling solutions in a professional engineering services business. This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact and develop your sales career in a fast growing part of the Roke business.
You will be selling our portfolio of services into one or multiple industry sectors including High Value Manufacturing, Rail, Aerospace, and Energy, applying Roke’s world leading technologies and capabilities in intelligent sensing, machine vision, data science, AI/ML and cyber resilience, to solve complex client problems.
Roke is a highly respected world-class organisation with strong existing clients in the UK private & public sector, and is growing fast. You will support the creation and implementation of a sales and partner development strategy to deliver further growth for the Industry business.
Areas of responsibility:
Support the development, implementation and execution of sales growth strategies through direct and partner sales campaigns, either directly on smaller accounts or supporting Client Managers on larger accounts
Effectively managing a number of new & existing key clients to maximise both revenue and customer value
Managing direct and partner sales/bids/quotes in line with company governance process
Managing some client and partner requirements and expectations
Manage/facilitate sales and engineering interactions with partners and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure successful bids
Achieving/exceeding allocated sales order targets or supporting wider Client Manager targets
Accurate pipeline management & forecasting
Provision of market intelligence to support, feed and actively contribute to the Roke CRM ecosystem Knowledge / Experience / Requirements:
Some experience in direct sales of technical services and products, in at least one of the following markets: High Value Manufacturing, Rail, Aerospace, and Energy.
Competent at developing good client relationships and supporting this with detailed account development plans
A genuine interest in and a baseline understanding of technology in one of the following domains: sensing, machine vision, AI/ML, data science, cyber resilience.
Some experience of bid processes and developing high quality bid submission documents
Ability to effectively qualify small opportunities and support their conversion to orders
Proactive, entrepreneurial mind-set with energy and drive to succeed
Ability to understand business and market challenges from the clients perspective and help develop innovative solutions to these challenges, talking in the client’s language
Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to customers.
Good analytical skills
Willingness to travel and on occasion stay away from home (full UK driving license required)Security
