IT Support Specialist

Seeking a candidate to provide desktop, network, and server support. The candidate will report to a team and provide IT support to the Helpdesk and end users. He/she will be responsible for making sure the Helpdesk is effectively resolving level two incidents before they are escalated to the Network Administrator. You will perform client and server maintenance as directed and after hours when appropriate. This position requires some limited local travel.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in Helpdesk or Information Technology field

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in a professional environment

  • Demonstrated experience maintaining complex Client Server environments

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Expert knowledge Microsoft Windows Servers and Wide Area Networking

  • Ability to multitask and coordinate many projects at once

  • Experience managing server backups

Desired Skills:

  • Installing and supporting virtual Servers including Hyper-V or VMware

  • Utilization of iSCSI, a Storage Area Network, and Dell Servers

  • Extensive experience working in a multisite WAN environment

  • Problem solving, diagnosing, system design, planning, and testing

  • Deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Windows 10 in a complex network and working remotely

  • Certifications such and MCP/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent

  • Silent software deployments and software customization to meet objectives

  • Group Policy Management, SCCM, Active Directory, Symantec Manage Console, or Altiris experience desired

  • Skilled with Windows Scripting and PowerShell

  • Exchange Online and Windows Azure

  • Managing an Office 365 Cloud

  • Experience repairing desktop/laptop and computers

  • Experience managing Dell Desktops and Servers at the enterprise level

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • VOIP Network troubleshooting and Avaya Administration

  • Experience with a Document Management System such as Netdocuments

  • Strong IT and Network background
