Senior Account Director

The agency on this one is a well established, internationally focused content agency with a range of b2b and b2c clients. They currently have around 70 people in their London office, out of ~220 people globally, with the usual teams of creative, editorial, production, client services and back office / ops. In terms of their outputs, they deliver a range of editorial, video content, social assets and a little bit of traditional print work for clients spanning professional services, finance, tech and (green) energy. While they are part of a well known network, they generally get left to their own devices by the holding group thanks to having an excellent management team and maintaining strong margins on their work.
Due to ongoing growth they are looking to add a highly strategic senior account director to the team.
What You'll Be Doing
This is very much a senior role within the team, and you'll be reporting directly into the business director. You'll be responsible for:
* Directly managing 3-4 key accounts for the agency.
* Managing a small team of account managers and senior account managers (probably four in total).
* Being part of the agency's team for pitching for new business.
* Shaping your client's business by taking a highly strategic approach to the programme of work you are delivering.
* Overarching ownership of the financial health of your clients and their projects.
Like all creative agency roles, you'll probably end up getting involved in a little more than this though, so be prepared to roll your sleeves up!
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a seasoned senior account director (or account director stepping up to that level) with strong experience working in the b2b and / or content marketing space. It goes without saying that we need somebody with extremely strong communication skills, excellent knowledge of the world of marketing & advertising, and proven experience in successfully managing and growing clients.
As the client base on this one is very much in the world of professional services, (green) energy, and finance we're looking for somebody who has a genuine interest in the world of business rather than selling fizzy pop or cars.
All the usual personality traits apply - we are after somebody who wants to roll their sleeves up and muck in with a tight knit, highly collaborative team. Again, strong communications skills are an absolute must.
