Business Analyst (GDPR) - Brussels (EU Nationals Only)

Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential; French desirable

A new role working a few days/weeks in Brussels, as a Business Analyst with part remote working allowed due to COVID. This role involves developing and maintaining applications and databases for a long term project around 2-3 years.

The consultant will mainly work on business analysis tasks (75%), with some IT security related actions (25%).

Experience:

  • The analysis of business needs, their formal definition, the functional design of business processes and IT systems, taking into account security and data protection regulations.
  • The drafting of security plans/studies, risk assessments (with the business units), assistance with the implementation of IS security and data protection policies and practices.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills - minimum 5 years of professional experience as Business Analyst
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in both English and French
  • Good knowledge of IT project management methodologies, especially PM²
  • Strong capacity in preparing and writing business analysis document
  • Ability to manage meetings in a multi-cultural environment
  • Good knowledge of information systems matters
  • Good knowledge of software development methodologies (eg RUP, Agile)
  • Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model etc.)
  • Good knowledge of BPMN and UML
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Capability to speak to business and technical audiences
  • Good capacity to give high level presentations
  • Ability to apply high quality standards
  • Proven track record/experience in the field of cyber security of at least 1 year
  • Knowledge on the European data protection regulation (GDPR) and related methodologies
  • Knowledge of IT security test tools (such as HP fortify) and procedures
