Due to the internal promotion of the person who previously held this position, we’re looking to add one or two energetic and articulate Business Development Executives to join our team, based at our head office in the centre of Altrincham.

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent.

Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester (Town centre office, excellent transport links)

Salary: £23,000 basic salary + Uncapped bonus (1st year OTE in excess of £30,000)

Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday – Thursday & 8.30am – 5.00pm on a Friday.

Business Development Executive – What’s The Role?

Reporting in to our Managing Director, you’ll be a key part of our Sales team, responsible for identifying and approaching businesses that would benefit from one or all of our suite of services, whether that’s our recruitment advertising campaigns, our alternative to a traditional recruitment agency approach or even a bespoke headhunting project.

You will identify and introduce yourself to key decision makers within businesses, understanding their unique recruitment challenges and assessing whether they have a requirement for our support.

With the help of our vastly experienced team, you’ll then build a solution that will add value, introducing the benefits to the customer and close the deal. You’ll then liaise with our Client Success team to ensure the customer is onboarded effectively.

Although you’ll be given plenty of support, training and quite a bit of autonomy, it goes without saying that, in order to reach 10-15 new customers each day, you’ll need to be confident with business to business (B2B) cold-calling and having lots of conversations over the telephone, via e-mail and via LinkedIn every single day. Eventually, you’ll even attend face to face meetings with both existing and potential new clients too.

Business Development Executive – Skills & Experience Requirements

We know it’s an old cliché, but people really do buy from people, so the most important thing for this role is that you’re positive, confident and well-spoken. It will certainly help you to adjust if you have a minimum of 12 months experience in a telephone based sales role.

Any experience of business to business (B2B) sales, as well as digital advertising and / or recruitment would certainly be handy too. As you might expect in a role like this, excellent verbal communication skills are a must, but given that you’ll be responding to customer enquiries and sending proposals, it’s vital that you can craft a winning email.
