About the role:
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager (Internally known as Local Account Manager) to work with area branch teams in our North West London region to achieve revenue, gross margin and trading profit targets. Maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers is key, as is finding and winning business from new customers within focused geographical areas.
The Account Manager will also act as a coach to Sales Champions within branches and ensure that Wolseley win across their area.
You will be responsible for:
Achieving planned sales and contributions by developing trading with target accounts, both new and existing
To achieve and maintain agreed plans for sales and contributions by servicing existing accounts
To develop sales by opening new trading accounts (within the credit control procedures), by use of pricing competitively for work, making use of trade leads and project tracking information.
Achieve planned sales and contributions by servicing accounts within defined area, utilising existing trading arrangements to ensure maximum return
Work closely with Sales Champions within branches to develop their selling skills
Develop sales by promoting new products to appropriate client base
Develop sales by cross selling a range of relevant products to new and existing accounts
Plan sales activities effectively, making the most use of project tracking and leads and journey planning
To plan product promotions with suppliers to achieve sales targets, within the national framework
To maintain personal prices lists, ensuring possession of full and current set
Maintain and develop excellent product knowledge of relevant products
Completion of weekly sales reports/ KPI’s for Line Manager
Ensure you are familiar with the health and safety rules and regulations, and that your responsibilities as an employee, in respect of health and safety, are carried out in full.
* You will need exceptional sales and customer relationship management skills
* Effective leadership skills – able to engage, motivate and develop colleagues
* Experience of working in branch & field sales
* Have the ability to coach and develop sales teams & branch staff
* Passionate about sales and driving performance
* Proven experience within a multi site role
