Senior Data Analyst - 100% Remote - SQL - Google Analytics - Python - £45k-£55K (DOE)

About you

You're an experienced Data Analyst passionate about insight driven actions. You know how to extract and stitch together disparate data - and most importantly - you know how to analyse it and share its compelling insights in order to drive the right outcomes and prioritisation of work.

You'll enjoy being the person that pro-actively collaborates with others to help solve problems through analysis and investigation. Ideally you'll have worked closely with product managers, marketing, engineering and sales teams alike, creating and analysing powerful dashboards that help drive the next phase of growth.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for answering both day-to-day and strategic questions with data, analysing data and processes, developing dashboards and reporting, and distilling actionable insights on core business metrics.

Reporting into the Head of Product, you will work directly across C&C leadership team to add critical analytical horsepower to ensure we're making data-driven decisions, and using insights to improve efficiency and customer experiences.

Our aim is to build the largest marketplace for classic and specialist vehicles globally.

Role and responsibilities

  • Build dashboards that answer the needs of our leadership team - take advantage of the wealth of data we have to help stakeholders manage and improve their areas through actionable insights.

  • Perform deep-dive analysis to better understand our customers behaviors and improve our operational/financial/commercial/impact and effectiveness. Make strategic recommendations to the business

  • Automate reporting to stakeholders, including management about the company's key data points and indicators

  • Identify data gaps and improve data capture

  • Collaborate with product and tech to build and develop an end-to-end data strategy

  • Develop strategic insights, and present them in a compelling way to inform future product roadmaps and features.

  • Drive analysis to improve customer experience, sales and customer support operations

The skills, attributes and experience you must have:

  • Experience using data analysis tools and platforms, especially to look at conversion flows, behavioural analytics and marketing/external impacts on business performance

  • Autonomous and pro-active; you can come in and have the experience and skill set to hit the ground running and work out what needs doing (then do it!)

  • A track record of being able to effectively measure the success or failure of end-to-end experiences that are both digital and offline (telephony/sales)

  • A high level of attention to detail

  • Strategic thinking capacity and desire with a let's get it done' attitude

  • A high level of self-esteem and confidence, coupled with a low sense of self-ego

Skills, attributes and experience it would be nice for you to have:

  • Google Analytics and SQL knowledge - critical

  • Experience in Python ideally

  • Marketing & sales analytical knowledge/experience

  • Multi-variate testing experience

  • An online auction background is not essential but a plus!
