Building Performance Analyst


Keen to tackle the climate and biodiversity emergency? Hold a degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Design or similar? Experience/knowledge of a wide range of POE techniques? Interested in working with designers to provide knowledge, expertise, and performance modelling to help develop integrated and regenerative architecture?



Lewis Davey is recruiting for a Building Performance Analyst role that would suit a recent graduate or individual early in their career. This position would see you join the Building Performance team to deliver on their commitment to helping tackle the climate and biodiversity emergency. Considering building performance at the early stages of our design process helps to set clear performance aspirations with high-profile clients and design team collaborators that can be tracked throughout a design and procurement process and tested in completed buildings. This role is a key part of that process.



Role



• Preparing environmental strategy drawings and analysis to inform developing design work.


• Assisting with post occupancy evaluation (POE) of built work, using a range of qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques.


• Reporting POE lessons to project teams and building users.


• Helping the preparation of wider internal and external facing publications.


• Input into sustainability and building performance research and development.


• Dissemination of knowledge throughout the practice through graphic, written and verbal communication including participation in CPD events.



What you will need to succeed



• A degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Design or similar.


• Experience/knowledge of a wide range of POE techniques.


• Ability to illustrate environmental design strategies and performance for a variety of audiences.


• Wide knowledge of sustainability issues facing the UK and international design and construction industries.


• A willingness to tackle a variety of tasks and learn new skills.


• Highly motivated with an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.


• Attention to detail.
