Business Development Executive – Braintree, Essex

Salary – £25K- £30K + Performance Bonus + Yearly Bonus + Pension + Life Insurance + Onsite Parking

Monday – Friday 8 hours per day

The Client

Our client is a leading player in the RFI/EMI shielding and environmental sealing sector since 1980 and now works with blue chip customers in more than 35 countries around the world markets through a network of fully-qualified agents and distributors to design and manufacture innovative EMI shielding solutions.

This global experience means that their technical team has built an extensive knowledge base of materials, industry applications and environmental issues that enable them to take a creative, problem-solving approach to any EMC shielding or environmental sealing challenge.

They operate a fully-equipped manufacturing and warehouse facility at their UK headquarters at Braintree in Essex where they have the flexibility to produce short-run bespoke solutions as well as standard products in volume. The in-house design, development, engineering and manufacturing capability means that they can maintain control over the entire production process to ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability.

The Role

The Sales Business Development Executive will be responsible for working in the sales team : receiving enquiries, technically evaluating the customer’s requirements, cost accurately the scope of supply and involvement required by the company, and produce high quality quotations that meet the customers’ requirements whilst adhering to the company’s commercial policy.

They will liaise with the Sales Director, Sales Engineers and Technical Manager where necessary to co-ordinate the correct technical and commercial response to the client.

Will have to continue to develop the German market through our existing customer base revising and overseeing the German marketing literature as necessary.

Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives. Attending meetings and exhibitions (when allowed).

Will liaise with the Sales Director and Sales representatives in France to support the French market.

Liaise competently, confidently and promptly with all customers, developing a good working relationship and attend to their requirements or requests efficiently and diligently ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service from all areas of the organisation.

Liaise efficiently with all departments of the manufacturing plant ensuring that relevant information is supplied or received promptly as part of the quotation.

Using the company CRM database maintain and log quotations and manage follows up professionally.

To review customer orders, make competent technical and commercial evaluations of the customers order and relevant specifications.

Previous Knowledge and ExperienceA-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Engineering or other relevant: 1 year (preferred)


Any other languages ideally German and/or French (preferred)
