Senior Director of Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of internal and cloud managed IT infrastructure to support CHS's business and services. The role will assist in the definition and implementation of IT growth and maturity strategies required to create an efficient IT operating model. It also includes the supervision and development of a high performing team to execute the strategic plans of the organization. It provides operational and strategic direction to multiple functional areas including compute, database management, data center operations, and application and data warehouse support. Managing ITIL processes including incident management, change management, and asset management is also required.

Develop and successfully implement an effective reliable infrastructure management framework that is disciplined to govern an ITIL-based (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) organization in support of Community Health Systems goals and objectives.
Assist with setting vision, strategy, and the implementation of the Information Technology Infrastructure Organization in support of successful governance, execution and delivery of policy and standards.
Build a results driven organization for building, monitoring, analyzing and reporting on all compute, network and applications.
Accountable experience overseeing the Enterprise Command Center management and prevention architecture which have proven to provide sound, reliable, robust performance 24x7x365. Oversee the functions of the Enterprise Command Operations Center (ECC) for network infrastructure and data center operations, to provide configurations, operational controls, monitoring of services, centralized logging, network connectivity, job scheduling and routine maintenance.
Oversight of resources for auditing of applications, operating systems and networks to provide measurable technical assessment that includes interviewing staff personnel, performing, reviewing access controls or analyzing physical access to ensure availability, confidentiality and integrity to help the organization meet internal and external regulatory compliance.
Manage and lead people to create and sustain a high-performing team
Directs support and operations for centralized and decentralized applications in the corporation. Consults and provides coordination of I.S. support to assigned hospital facilities. Assigns personnel within the assigned area to various projects and directs their activities. Consults with and advises other sections on all architecture, technical and operational requirements. Coordinates with activities of other departments. Prepares activity, performance, progress reports and budget recommendations for the assigned area. Complies with hospital and department policies and procedures. Develops managers' and individual staff members' professional and technical skills. Develops process, procedure and practice to coordinate and execute work across Group, Corporate IT, and CHS.
Graduate degree or bachelor's degree plus equivalent experience, in business or a science (computer science, mathematics, engineering, statistics, clinical discipline, etc.).
Minimum 10 years' experience with managing large complex networks, and operations in large enterprises.
Healthcare experience is required
Recent successful experience with rapid growth, high reliance on process, metrics and professional discipline required.
Works independently as well as collaboratively with minimal professional and managerial supervision.
Understanding of data center operations.
Enterprise level governance, data management, infrastructure architecture, engineering and maintenance
Enterprise level infrastructure management and operational governance
Comprehensive knowledge of the ITIL Reference Model
Common knowledge of relational databases
Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements for healthcare is desirable

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY FOR:
Application Managers, Application Analysts, Project Specialists, Team Leaders, Contractors and Consultants.
